Egg prices continue to fall, with the Egg Business Association urging retailers and catering operators to reduce prices accordingly. The oversupply of eggs has led to prices hitting a new low in nearly three years, with production exceeding domestic demand by 340,000 eggs per day. The Association appeals to the catering industry to lower prices to boost sluggish sales, as some eggs are even being sold to feed pigs due to limited market demand. Measures such as price reduction and increased demand stimulation are being emphasized as the only solution to the surplus in egg production.
