Due to the decrease in egg prices, various channels have announced price reductions, with the origin and wholesale prices of eggs dropping by 3元 each, reaching new lows in almost 3 years. In response, major outlets like Pxmart, RT-Mart, MerryMart, Carrefour, and Costco have issued price adjustment notices in hopes of boosting sales. Pxmart announced that a 10-pack of budget eggs would drop from 50元 to 47元 starting the 14th, while Carrefour will also lower prices on budget selected eggs by 5元 to 8元 per pack. MerryMart, on the other hand, has already reduced prices by 3元 today and kept the price of 2 tea eggs at 18元.
