Employer Fined 850,000 for Repeatedly Violating Overtime Regulations in Taiwan

The New Taipei City Department of Labor in Taiwan has announced a list of illegal employers, with Ubus Tour Co., Ltd. (統聯客運) having the highest penalty of 850,000 NTD for violating overtime regulations for the 9th time. The company consistently exceeded the legal limit for working hours, with one month exceeding over 49 hours of overtime. This violation is part of a larger trend of non-compliance among 334 companies, totaling fines of 19.52 million NTD, mainly for failing to pay overtime or record employees' working hours properly.
