End of the Rainy Season Signals Start of Summer! Afternoon Thunderstorms Expected to Hit Hot Regions, Temperature May Soar Above 36 Degrees Starting Tomorrow

Reported 8 months ago

The frontal boundary of the rainy season that lingered over the northern sea area of Taiwan for over a week has finally started to move further north and away from Taiwan. WeatherRisk's meteorological manager Wu Shengyu stated that the weather will gradually shift from the unstable environment in front of the front to the influence of the southwest wind on the periphery of the Pacific high-pressure system, resulting in reduced moisture content and a change in weather patterns towards a summer-type weather dominated by afternoon convective rainfall in mountainous areas. Today's temperatures are expected to reach 32 to 35 degrees, with some areas likely to surpass 36 degrees, urging caution to prevent heatstroke and heat-related injuries. As high pressure strengthens from tomorrow to the weekend, mountainous areas and nearby regions are still expected to see the development of convective showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon, with temperatures rising to 33 to 36 degrees in many places, and precautions against sunburn and heatstroke are necessary. There is a chance of a tropical disturbance in the South China Sea during the upcoming period before gradually reverting to stable summer weather conditions after the middle of next week. The possibility of a typhoon affecting Taiwan remains low for now, with more active typhoon development anticipated as we enter July.
