The Ministry of Environment established the 'Green Strategy Office' through task organization to integrate policies and operations related to climate change and net zero transition, across ministries to promote net zero and green growth actions, in order to enhance government's climate governance capacity. This initiative, led by Minister Peng Chi-ming, aims to facilitate inter-ministerial cooperation and promote the implementation of strategies in combating climate change. The office will also focus on strengthening collaboration between public and private sectors, encouraging low-carbon transitions in various industries, and actively seeking innovative policy tools to accelerate carbon reduction efforts.
