The European Parliament elections, the second largest globally after India, concluded with moderate parties maintaining the largest group in the European Parliament. Despite the moderate-right European People's Party remaining the largest party in the Parliament, ruling parties in France and Germany were overwhelmed by the far right, with President Macron dissolving the parliament for early elections.
