This initiative aims to bolster energy-intensive industries and enhance competitiveness against global competitors. It includes plans for guarantee schemes with the European Investment Bank to reduce costs for renewable energy contracts and the establishment of an EU Critical Raw Material Centre for essential materials in the energy transition, pending approval from the European Parliament and member states.
