Europe's gas storage levels have fallen to just over 70% full, the lowest rate of depletion since 2018, due to rising heating demands from cold weather. This drop of 25 percentage points from last year's levels raises concerns about the ability to restock for the next heating season, especially as the region increasingly relies on liquefied natural gas imports following reduced Russian pipeline supplies. Unplanned outages and market volatility are further complicating the situation, leading to elevated gas prices.
