On June 24, 2024, Taiwan's EVA Air advanced to 8th place in Skytrax's '2024 Best Global Airlines' rankings, with Qatar Airways claiming the top spot for the 8th time in its 25-year history. STARLUX Airlines climbed 4 spots to 35th, while China Airlines dropped slightly from 41st to 44th. The rankings are based on votes from over 21 million passengers of around 350 airlines from 100 countries. Singapore Airlines and other carriers also received accolades in various categories. AirAsia was named 'Best Low-Cost Carrier' for the 15th consecutive year, with Scoot winning 'Best Long-Haul Low-Cost Carrier'.
