A report by Savills indicates that data centre capacity growth in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa has slowed in 2025 compared to the same period last year due to power supply constraints, despite surging demand fueled by advancements in AI technology. While total data centre capacity has increased by 12% over the past year, new power capacity added has fallen 11%, indicating an ongoing imbalance between demand and available electricity supply.
