The appraisal report, recently released, lists at least 11 deficiencies including worn elevator cables exceeding legal limits, abnormal operation due to a mix of new and old components, and a lack of safety protections. Actions are being taken including inspections and repairs by a mechanical technician association, with an emphasis on addressing the elevators' high fault rates to ensure safety for users, especially considering the frequency of important officials and guests using them.
