As TSMC plans to establish a factory in Germany, leading to increased flight demand, local airlines are cautiously considering expanding flight routes or adding new destinations. While China Airlines's response remains conservative, Travel Association Chairman Hsiao Po-jen believes it is inevitable, citing the experience with the opening of the Kumamoto factory in Japan. Both China Airlines and EVA Air currently fly directly to Frankfurt and Munich in Germany, and with the potential influx of Taiwanese professionals to Germany due to TSMC's factory, there is speculation about the possibility of increased flight services. Hsiao Po-jen emphasizes that airlines may open new routes based on demand and the viability of tourism opportunities in the region. China Airlines highlighted its extensive European network but remained reserved about potential route expansions in response to TSMC's development.
