Not long after Hip Hop was created in New York City, it spread across the United States, inspiring artists in different metropolitan areas to create unique sounds and styles. Legends like Dr. Dre in the West Coast with G-funk, DJ Screw and T.I. in the South with their versions of Hip Hop, and artists in the United Kingdom with grime, have all contributed to the evolution of Hip Hop. Other notable subgenres include drill, horrorcore, cloud rap, trap, new jack swing, and more, each pushing the boundaries of Hip Hop and inspiring future generations.
