Experts warn of extreme high temperatures in the Greater Taipei area over the weekend, with temperatures potentially reaching 37 to 39 degrees Celsius. The entire Taiwan is experiencing continued high temperatures, with the west reaching 35 to 37 degrees and some southern areas even exceeding 37 degrees. Thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon in some areas, increasing the risk of heavy rain and lightning. The Central Weather Bureau reports that the west is likely to hit 35 to 37 degrees, while the south may experience extreme temperatures above 37 degrees; the east will remain around 32 to 34 degrees, with high UV radiation levels, urging people to stay hydrated and protect themselves from the heat. It is advised to limit outdoor activities and take precautions against possible heavy rain, lightning, and strong gusts to ensure personal safety and prevent accidents.
