Cathay Financial Holdings released the June National Economic Confidence Survey results, with 27% of respondents stating that the main factors influencing this year's Taiwan stock index are the global fiscal and monetary policy ease, while 25.6% believe it is Taiwan's economic growth and corporate profit performance, and 24.1% think it is the trend in the US stock market. The survey also reveals that over half of the public considers global demand and economic trends as the main factors affecting Taiwan's economic growth in 2024. The survey collected a total of 15,821 valid responses from Cathay Life Insurance official website members and Cathay United Bank customers through email questionnaires. Additionally, the survey shows optimistic consumer sentiment and outlook indices, with a rise in willingness for major purchases and property transactions.
