In the early hours of July 17, 2024, a fire broke out at a factory office on Renmei Road in Dali, Taichung. The factory owner heard crackling sounds and saw flames, prompting evacuation with family. Firefighters quickly dispatched 16 fire trucks and 50 personnel, who managed to control the blaze within half an hour, though the first-floor office was severely damaged. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
