Lin Pei-ching, claiming to have served as a legal advisor to former Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-che and former Vice President Annette Lu during their tenure as legislators, was reported for practicing law without a license. She allegedly received tens of thousands of dollars from 2019 to this year for drafting legal documents for others, facing accusations of fraud and violating the Lawyers Act. Following investigations and questioning, Lin was released on bail of 100,000 NTD and is subject to restrictions on travel and residence. Victims reported to the authorities last year, exposing Lin's fraudulent activities despite lacking legal qualifications, leading to an ongoing legal case against her.
