A family of 5 in Shenzhen, China suffered from food poisoning after consuming a pot of 'Huanghua Lotus Chicken Soup' at home, which was later found to contain 'Death Camas' components. Symptoms such as weakness, difficulty opening eyes, nausea, and vomiting appeared within an hour of drinking the soup, prompting them to seek emergency medical treatment. Two members lost consciousness and were admitted to the ICU but recovered, while the other three were treated for mild symptoms and discharged from the hospital after medical care. The toxic plant 'Death Camas' was identified as the cause and was mistaken for 'Huanghua Lotus,' leading to the poisoning incident.
