Taipei City, Taiwan - 58-year-old police officer surnamed Zhuang died on March 27 last year while commuting to work when he accidentally crashed into a parked truck after hitting a flashing warning light. The prosecution found that Zhuang failed to take safety measures while riding his motorcycle, labeling him as the primary cause of the accident, while the truck driver surnamed Qiu was prosecuted for negligent homicide due to improperly placing the warning light. Zhuang sustained fatal injuries and passed away after the accident, prompting legal action against the truck driver. Four other individuals were not indicted as their connection to the incident could not be definitively established.
