A fatal car-motorcycle collision occurred in Yilan at around noon on June 10. A heavy motorcycle rider collided with a car attempting a left turn at the intersection of Nanzhong Road and Huanshi South Road in Yilan City. The motorcycle rider was flung over 10 meters and rushed to the hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead by 2 p.m. The specific cause of the accident is still under investigation. The motorcycle was severely damaged in the crash, and the car driver tested negative for alcohol. Authorities remind drivers to yield to oncoming traffic when turning and take necessary safety precautions to maintain traffic safety.
