On July 5, 2024, at 11:20 am, in Taichung, a 32-year-old man named Chen lost control of his car and crashed into a residence on Nan Tun Road Section 2, shattering the glass door almost entirely. Chen and a female passenger were injured and taken to the hospital. It is suspected that Chen, while driving along Yongchun East Road with a female friend, daydreamed and lost control, crashing into the house. Authorities conducted an alcohol test on the driver, which came out negative for drunk driving. Further details are pending investigation.
