The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) asked the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Ohio to transfer industry legal challenges regarding the reinstatement of net neutrality rules to a federal court in Washington. The net neutrality rules aim to ensure equal treatment for internet data and users, prohibiting ISPs from restricting access, slowing speeds, or favoring certain users. The FCC's decision to reinstate these rules, rescinded under former President Trump, has been supported by current President Biden. Industry groups' request to halt the FCC's order was rejected as they failed to demonstrate irreparable harm or provide concrete evidence against the net neutrality order.
