At 9:59 AM on June 25, 2024, at the Shilin District Court in Taipei, a female police officer surnamed Liu was sentenced to 4 months in prison for falsely accusing a female college student surnamed Wang of causing the accident after a minor collision between Liu's patrol car and Wang's motorcycle. Despite Liu compensating Wang with NT$6,600 and settling the matter, Wang was discontent with Liu's attitude and language and accused her of negligence. In response, Liu falsely accused Wang of causing the accident by presenting a medical report not related to the incident, resulting in a conviction for false accusation. The court also sentenced Liu to 5 days of detention for the collision part of the incident.
