On June 20, 2024, at 6:20 AM, a furniture factory in Nanqiao Lane, Lukang Township in Changhua caught fire at 4:00 PM. The factory contained a large amount of flammable furniture materials and products, causing an uncontrollable blaze with thick black smoke billowing into the sky, visible from afar. The entire factory was engulfed in flames, but fortunately, there were no casualties. The cause of the fire and extent of the damage are still under investigation.
