A fire broke out in the underground garage of the Transcend Optoelectronics factory in the Hsinchu Science and Industrial Park at around 1 p.m. on June 25th. An employee's SUV spontaneously combusted for unknown reasons, leading to intense smoke at the scene. Fortunately, staff quickly noticed the fire, evacuating 1100 employees within an hour, with some employees even attempting to extinguish the fire. No injuries or casualties were reported. Firefighters arrived, investigating the cause of the fire. The situation was under control as employees used fire extinguishers to put out the fire.
