A fire broke out at a pet shop on Zhongshan Road in Hualien, causing 5 buildings to be completely destroyed and resulting in the death of a dog. The fire was initially contained but rekindled a few hours later, finally being fully controlled close to midnight. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The scene of the fire showed buildings turned into debris and rubble, with one dog confirmed dead. Most of the dogs were rescued, and authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
