A fire broke out in a pet store on Zhongshan Road in downtown Hualien City, with reports of 2 store dogs trapped and possibly perished. The Hualien County Fire Department received the report and dispatched multiple teams to the scene. Despite efforts, the wooden building was engulfed in flames. The store owner, Mr. Huang, rushed in to save pets, including those of customers and a pet hotel. The mayor mentioned the store had been in business for over 20 years, and although some pets were rescued, the fate of others remained uncertain. The fire was finally contained around midnight, with investigations ongoing.
