On the evening of June 23, 2024, a fire broke out at the Diamond Building on Kangding Road in Wanhua District, Taipei City. The fire on the 12th floor was quickly extinguished by 7:08 pm, with no casualties reported. Police and firefighters evacuated 10 individuals from the 10th floor (3 males and 2 females) and 6 individuals from the 11th floor (3 males and 3 females). The cause of the fire is suspected to be electrical wiring on the balcony of a residence on the 12th floor, with further investigation pending.
