A severe fire broke out in Hualien City at a pet grooming store on Zhongshan Road, with horrifying scenes circulating on social media. Firefighters rushed to the scene as the blaze spread to at least 5 buildings. While the exact cause is still under investigation, one dog was confirmed dead, and severely injured dogs were being rescued. The fire started around 8:53 p.m., causing panic among residents and unclear explosions reported. Despite some dogs being saved, many unfortunately perished, with some receiving CPR at the roadside as the fire continued to spread.
