Twenty-four tourists who recently went on an independent trip to Kinmen experienced symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea after dining at two restaurants on the night of June 30, with five individuals seeking medical treatment and subsequently being discharged; the county health bureau is conducting inspections and tests at the dining venues with results expected in one to two weeks. Violations of food safety regulations were found at the restaurants, and improvement notices were issued with fines ranging from NT$60,000 to NT$2 million, and potential closure for severe cases, with a ban on re-registration within a year for those whose registration is revoked.
