Ford is recalling approximately 85,000 Explorer SUVs that have the Police Interceptor Utility package due to a potential engine fire hazard. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has highlighted that in the event of an engine failure, engine oil and fuel could leak into the engine compartment and ignite, leading to a fire. This recall impacts models from 2020 to 2022 with 3.3L hybrid and gasoline engines.
