Foreign bids for UK companies are on the rise, reaching the highest six-month total since 2021, driven by London-listed firms' cheap valuations. As of this year, there have been £32.7 billion worth of proposed, pending, or completed takeovers of listed UK companies by foreign entities, marking a 143% increase from 2023. Recent acquisition targets include Britvic Plc, Hargreaves Lansdown Plc, and Darktrace Plc, with London-listed stocks trading at a discount compared to international peers.
