OpenAI recently announced the addition of former National Security Agency (NSA) Director Paul Nakasone to their board, where he will also serve on the newly established Security Committee. Nakasone, who was appointed by former US President Trump in 2018, brings his cybersecurity expertise to enhance the safety and resilience of AI products. With Nakasone on board, OpenAI aims to strengthen AI product security and respond faster to online threats. The current OpenAI board also includes former Salesforce CEO Bret Taylor, CEO Sam Altman, Quora CEO Adam D’Angelo, former US National Economic Council Director Larry Summers, cancer expert Sue Desmond-Hellmann, former Sony General Counsel Nicole Seligman, and Instacart CEO Fidji Simo, along with Nakasone.
