Former Premier Lai Ching-te brings up again the theory of 'mutual non-subordination of two nations' at the centennial celebration of the Army Officer School, with criticism from the blue camp

Reported about 1 year ago

During the centennial celebration speech at the Army Officer School, President Lai Ching-te reiterated the idea of 'Republic of China and People's Republic of China not subordinate to each other,' which was viewed by the blue camp as a 'new two-nation theory.' The Executive Director of the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation, Hsiao Hsü-tsen, expressed concerns that Lai is leaning towards seeking war instead of being a president who should strive to avoid war. Hsiao emphasized that what the people need is a president who prioritizes peace and prosperity over war and provocations to maintain the stability and well-being of the nation.
