Former President Tsai Ing-wen commemorated the Dragon Boat Festival by recalling the times she made zongzi with Gongliao grandmas, sharing photos starting from 2010 and expressing regret for being unable to disturb them this year due to her recent presidential departure and their old age. Tsai highlighted the special bond fostered over the years, in addition to checking on the grandmas' vaccine status during the pandemic, and nostalgically mentioned their large and flavorful zongzi. She symbolically shared a photo of herself in a GATT-emblemed green top she wore 20 years ago during negotiations, now turned home attire. Tsai concluded by wishing everyone a happy festival.
