Reported about 1 year ago

Former Chairman Wu Dongjin and 16 others were questioned by prosecutors in relation to the alleged wrongdoing of Shinkong Life's subsidiary, Jen-Chieh Building. People's Party Chairman Ko Wen-je was asked if he believes in Wu Dongjin's innocence and mentioned that he hasn't seen him in over a year. When asked if he would be concerned about Wu Xinying, Wu Dongjin's daughter and former legislator, he responded that he will inquire further. Wu Dongjin was released on NT$100 million bail. Ko Wen-je stated that the People's Party is prepared for parliamentary duties reform depending on the voting schedule of review cases and emphasized the need for meaningful actions rather than political battles in response to a recall motion against Hsinchu Mayor Ko Hong-an.
