The Taiwanese Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has started distributing free COVID-19 home test kits through pharmacies and clinics, with a second batch of kits coming out soon as the COVID-19 caseload is predicted to hit over 100,000, prompting a surge in demand for testing. Once the 300,000 free test kits are distributed, they won't be replenished, and individuals will have to purchase test kits on their own. Clinics and pharmacies across various regions in Taiwan are participating in the distribution of these free test kits to help manage the escalating COVID-19 situation.
