Reported 8 months ago

An 18-year-old female backpacker from France encountered difficulties in renting a bike in Taichung during her solo trip in Taiwan. On June 18, she was trying to borrow a Ubike in front of the MRT Shui'an Temple station in Nantun District to go to the Fengjia Eslite store in the West District. Due to the language barrier, she couldn't complete the rental process, causing her distress. Fortunately, officers from the 4th Police Precinct in the area offered their help, guiding her step by step to register and obtain a bike, allowing her to continue her journey. They even recommended local hidden gems for her to explore, including the Rainbow Village on Lane 56, Chun'an Road and the local favorite 'Nantun Pig's Feet Rice Noodle,' ensuring she could enjoy some local delicacies while resting. This act not only showcased the professionalism of Taiwanese police but also promoted friendly interactions between different nationalities, fostering international friendship.
