FSC Chairman VASP彭金隆 presented a special report on the progress of the establishment of the 'Virtual Asset Special Act' at the Legislative Yuan, with plans to submit the draft to the Executive Yuan by June next year. FSC will take on the role of the main regulatory authority for virtual assets in investment and trading. The regulation aims to prevent VASPs from being used for fraudulent activities by gradually strengthening industry management and consumer protection strategies based on anti-money laundering measures. The process will be divided into four stages, with the upcoming establishment of the VASP Guild and enhanced regulatory measures for the VASP industry.
