At 9 p.m., police in Xizhi discovered a silver sedan used by a wanted criminal on Shuiyuan Road. When they approached, a 52-year-old man named Li sped off, eventually crashing into a taxi on Zhongzheng Road. Despite efforts to arrest Li, he lost consciousness and was pronounced dead at Tri-Service General Hospital at 10:30 p.m. The cause of death is under investigation. Li had reportedly lied about his identity, leading to a high-speed chase and a crash before police managed to stop him. Li's resistance during the arrest resulted in his loss of consciousness and subsequent death despite emergency medical care.
