A funeral in Taoyuan Zhongli on June 18 turned chaotic as it escalated into a violent brawl with around 18 people involved. The incident stemmed from the deceased helping a neighbor inspect a leaking roof, leading to a fatal fall. When the deceased's family allegedly demanded an apology and kneeling from the neighbor's group, a dispute ensued, resulting in a physical altercation that left three injured. Police intervened, arresting six individuals. The conflict between neighbors, one of whom was the deceased and the other surnamed Wu, originated from a roofing accident. The unexpected tragedy has strained their previously amicable relationship.
