Gen Z workers are considered the most challenging to work with, with even managers of their own generation acknowledging their difficulty. A survey of 625 U.S. hiring managers found that 45% pointed to Gen Z as the most challenging generation, and 50% of Gen Z hiring managers admitted that their own generation is the most difficult to manage. Despite this, Gen Z are the second most likely-to-be-hired job candidates, with millennials being the most popular choice. The research suggests that workers get easier to manage with age, with baby boomers being viewed as the easiest to manage. Instead of trying to make Gen Z workers easier to manage, businesses are advised to adapt to their unique talents and bold ideas to rejuvenate the workforce.
