Following Hurricane Helene's widespread damage in Georgia, Southern Company's Georgia Power has restored power to over 95% of its customers. The company is focusing on reconnecting the remaining 50,000 customers, particularly in Augusta, which was severely affected. Approximately 20,000 personnel have been deployed for restoration efforts across the state.
