During a recent speech at National Taiwan University, Gigabyte CEO Huang Renxun discussed the rise of humanoid robots in the AI investment circle, while Gigabyte Chairman Lin Bailing expressed skepticism towards their efficiency and power consumption compared to humans, favoring smart factory 'robot arms' for their commercial value. The topic of AI robots has become a new focus at Gigabyte's shareholders meeting due to its subsidiary Gigamec's involvement in the robot industry, being named the 2nd largest collaborative robot manufacturer globally and collaborating on digital twin projects with Nvidia technology. Lin Bailing emphasized that humanoid robots should not necessarily resemble humans, highlighting the drawbacks of their physical appearance and function when compared to human workers.
