Olaf Diaz-Pintado, the chief of Goldman Sachs in Spain and Portugal, is set to retire this summer after 26 years at the firm. Internal executives Juande Gomez-Villalba and Gloria Carreno will take over as co-heads of investment banking in the region as part of a planned transition, while Diaz-Pintado has been instrumental in expanding Goldman Sachs' investment banking presence and is currently advising Sabadell on its defense against a takeover by BBVA.
