US software developer GitLab, backed by Google parent Alphabet, is exploring a potential sale after attracting interest from multiple bidders, including cloud monitoring company Datadog. GitLab provides software development tools for enterprises with over 30 million users. This move comes amid a rise in technology industry deals as companies seek to enhance their capabilities to compete with AI advancements. Additionally, AI market growth is projected to reach $909bn by 2030, with GenAI revenues expected to surge to $33bn by 2027.
