Google announced its investment in green energy in Taiwan, partnering with Climate Infrastructure Investor BlackRock and Taiwan's Yung-Hsin Energy to accelerate the transformation of Taiwan's power grid by developing a 1 GW solar energy asset project. This marks the first time an operator with a large data center in Taiwan has invested in green energy independently. The move aims to address Taiwan's tight green energy supply, with Google planning to create a significant solar power plant to meet its needs and potentially become Taiwan's largest solar power plant to date.
