Google has lost its appeal against a judge's order mandating the overhaul of its app store following an antitrust lawsuit filed by Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the ruling that found Google unlawfully hindered competition. The original lawsuit was filed in 2020, and in 2023, a jury sided with Epic Games, leading to a court order that requires Google to allow more choice for Android users regarding app downloads.
