In Jiu Ru village, Pingtung, despite a 50% decrease in taro production this year, a 77-year-old farmer, Grandma, has grown taros as big as bombs, weighing 8kg each, surprising even the Farmers' Association. Grandma used organic fertilizers and dedicated care, resulting in unusually large taros. This is her first time growing taro of this size in 5-6 years, achieving heights taller than a person and widths reaching 53cm. With the help of relatives and the farmers' association, these oversized taros are receiving much attention due to the decreased taro production this year.
