The Grandma's Cafe established by the Circular Wealth Community Development Association features portraits of three active coffee grandmas including 88-year-old Wu Gui-zhen, 76-year-old Chen Wu-si, and 81-year-old Chen Wang-yao. The cafe, located in Qishan District, Kaohsiung City, was initially rejected due to the question of why a coffee shop was needed when the community only produces bananas. Despite challenges, the cafe was eventually funded partially by the Kaohsiung Social Affairs Bureau and has become a hub for senior citizens and community engagement, with initiatives like the Lovely School and coffee training courses, showcasing the value of the elderly residents.
